Last weekend the Meguiar’s MotorEx was on, and what a show it was. MotorEx is one of, if not, the best automotive show in the country and this year was no different with the best of the best in hot rods, muscle cars, exotics and hi tech tuner cars all under one roof.
We were heavily involved with the rebuild of the Queen Street Customs BMW E46 M3 drag car and this was the event it was being unveiled at. After a week of all nighters and many weeks before of hard work we finally got the car to the show, anyway I’ll let the pics do the talking.

Darren and the guys down and Interior Designs held a sound off today, and a couple of the boys were going down so we all went along to enjoy the day.
Tony in his VZ Clubsport (DTR 60L) entered his car and cranked out 139.9 dB taking out first place in D Class and second highest over all.
Tony was there with his EVO 6 (HU57LR) was showing off his new trim, Queen St. Customs had Kandy Brandy Wine EVO 8 and Kev’s BALLR Audi on display as well. And James made a late appearance in his of chops Charade (WA84IT).

here are some updated photos of the S2000 drag car that one of our customers is building
Some specs of the car are Gforce GF2000 gearbox, Borg Warner S480 turbo charger, Stroker F20C running C16 fuel.
We chose to take a different path to alot of other drag racers in Australia, many racers prefer to use proven combinations of either rotary or 2JZ engines but we wanted to try something different and develop the Honda engine.

We had this awesome piece of machinery come past the shop last week.
All i can say about this car is WOW, the attention it draws is unbelievable. People have no choice but to approach it and get a closer look.
The Queen Street boys have really out done themselves with this one.

Last Sunday the Haltech Compak Attak was on at Sydney Dragway.
We were asked to join the pit crew for Queen Street Racing to prepare and maintain the two cars they were racing on the day.

The “BARB8S” RB30 Powered Gemini and the “QSSR” 20B powered E36 M3 both performed well on the day
with the Gemini running an 8.4 second pass and the BMW running a 7.806.

Last year we purchased a Holden Crewman ute to use as a shop truck to cart parts around
The intention was to leave it standard and just drive it. Well that was the plan anyway, but it didn’t really work out too well.
After a bit of a brain storm session (only 6 days after buying it) our stock VY II crewman was stripped and prep work began for a custom paint job.
This is how it came up, coke red kandy fade to black with marbleised flames under the kandy.

What started off as a quick engine swap, turned into a complete 5 month rebuild with this WRX.
The donor motor wasn’t up to our standards and had lived a hard life so the only way to fix things was to build a fresh one.
So it received a completely built 2L, with twist mounted GT30 turbo and all the supporting mods to back it up.
While it was in our hands Brad and Adrian from Dr. Stitch yet again worked their magic on the interior.
