After two and a half years at Wetherill Park we have out grown our current workshop and have made the decision to move on.
Dahtone Racing is proud to announce that we are teaming up with the Exotic Cars Centre.
Over the next two weeks we will be moving to our new shop located at 57-59 Carnarvon Street Silverwater.
Our new shop has a dedicated engine building clean room, scissor lift hoists flush with the workshop floor to allow us to lift any car no matter how low, as well as the usual two post hoists.
Paint and panel work will also be offered by the Exotic Cars Body Shop.
Stay tuned for more updates as we get everything sorted.
Here’s a quick video from a BBQ meet up we held a little while back, we always get a good turn out when we open the doors for people to come and hang out.
After nearly 3 years of being off the road and all sorts of ideas being throw at it like all out drag car to throwing it in the scrap heap.
We have decided that it is time for our R32 to be rebuilt for street duties again albeit in a more subtle guise.
There is a twist to this story though, after the car got hammered by police and EPA we never want to go through that again so the car will be built to be STREET LEGAL so we can drive it anywhere, any time and not worry about defects.
As soon as the decision was made the car was stripped back to bare metal to prepare for panel and paint.
One of our customers towed his Supercharged Civic in when it spat a supercharger belt one morning.
Once we had a closer look we found that the supercharger had seized up and wouldn’t budge.
After stripping down the Jackson Racing supercharger unit we found the culprit
A torx screw had found its way into the inlet and gotten jammed in the veins of the blower causing it to lock up solid.
We are now offering late model Holden Cam upgrade packages for VT-VE Commodore V8s.
Details are on the “Packages” page.
Here’s a quick video of latest VE SS we completed making just short of 400hp at the rear wheels.
After a 12 month absence the Autosalon Show Series returned this year and last weekend Sydney hosted the last even of the year Autosalon Final Battle.
We had three customers cars on the Ozzy Tyres stand and another 9throughout the rest of the first hall.
The main inclusion was the S2000 Drag car we’ve been building. We had 3 days to get the front end together and make the car look respectable so we could offer the public a sneak peak at whats to come next year.
It was a great weekend and we definitely missed it last year. Bring on the 2011 Show series.
Just some quick pics of what we’ve been up to on our MY99 WRX
Wheels have been painted kandy red by Queen Street Customs, tyres are white walled like usual. We’ve also upgraded the brakes with STi Brembo callipers and slotted rotors. We painted the callipers white for some thing different. They contrast nicely with the wheels.
One of our customers recently took delivery of a pearl white 2011 STi sedan and wasted no time in modifying it. 20 inch wheels and a cat back exhaust for now. Turbo smart boost controller and ECU re-tune is next on the cards.
