Some quick photos of the S2000 Drag Car from a photo shoot it had recently for Zoom Magazine.

The resurrection

December 29th, 2010

After nearly 3 years of being off the road and all sorts of ideas being throw at it like all out drag car to throwing it in the scrap heap.
We have decided that it is time for our R32 to be rebuilt for street duties again albeit in a more subtle guise.

There is a twist to this story though, after the car got hammered by police and EPA we never want to go through that again so the car will be built to be STREET LEGAL so we can drive it anywhere, any time and not worry about defects.

As soon as the decision was made the car was stripped back to bare metal to prepare for panel and paint.

Blown blower

December 19th, 2010

One of our customers towed his Supercharged Civic in when it spat a supercharger belt one morning.
Once we had a closer look we found that the supercharger had seized up and wouldn’t budge.

After stripping down the Jackson Racing supercharger unit we found the culprit
A torx screw had found its way into the inlet and gotten jammed in the veins of the blower causing it to lock up solid.

Here’s a quick video of latest VE SS we completed making just short of 400hp at the rear wheels.

Welcome back Autosalon, we missed you.

November 28th, 2010

After a 12 month absence the Autosalon Show Series returned this year and last weekend Sydney hosted the last even of the year Autosalon Final Battle.

We had three customers cars on the Ozzy Tyres stand and another 9throughout the rest of the first hall.

The main inclusion was the S2000 Drag car we’ve been building. We had 3 days to get the front end together and make the car look respectable so we could offer the public a sneak peak at whats to come next year.

It was a great weekend and we definitely missed it last year. Bring on the 2011 Show series.

Just some quick pics of what we’ve been up to on our MY99 WRX

Wheels have been painted kandy red by Queen Street Customs, tyres are white walled like usual. We’ve also upgraded the brakes with STi Brembo callipers and slotted rotors. We painted the callipers white for some thing different. They contrast nicely with the wheels.

One of our customers recently took delivery of a pearl white 2011 STi sedan and wasted no time in modifying it. 20 inch wheels and a cat back exhaust for now. Turbo smart boost controller and ECU re-tune is next on the cards.

The King of Bling

October 6th, 2010

While going through emails and RSS subscriptions I came across a feature on the Queen Street Customs Million Dollar Drag Car that the boys at Speedhunters had just posted up.

After reading articles on cars we have worked on and seeing what people have to say about them really makes all the late nights and early mornings worth it.

This car would have to be the most insane project we have ever been involved with and I dont think anything else will ever come close.

Busy Busy Busy

September 19th, 2010

We apologise for the lack of updates on what’s been going on at the shop of late, but here is the latest.

The S2000 drag car has almost finished the fabrication stage, so we should be attacking the engine soon. Here are the latest pics of how it looks at the moment.

Since we began this project our target ET has been falling pretty fast from 8.8x seconds down to 7.9x, so our work is definitely cut out for us.

White seems to be the colour of choice over the past month or two, a total of 5 white cars (4 of which were WRXs) at the shop all at the same time.

Best of the best

July 29th, 2010

Last weekend the Meguiar’s MotorEx was on, and what a show it was. MotorEx is one of, if not, the best automotive show in the country and this year was no different with the best of the best in hot rods, muscle cars, exotics and hi tech tuner cars all under one roof.

We were heavily involved with the rebuild of the Queen Street Customs BMW E46 M3 drag car and this was the event it was being unveiled at. After a week of all nighters and many weeks before of hard work we finally got the car to the show, anyway I’ll let the pics do the talking.
