Finishing Touch

Dahtone Racing April 1, 2009

A couple of photos of a some chrome work we got done for a customer recently

We also had some interior work on the I WIN NX Coupe done by Brad and Adrian at Dr. Stitch Customs, the owner wanted some down lights inside the car to show off the trim so we let the boys cut sick at the roof lining and pillars. And needless to say we were very impressed with the job they did.

Just Quickly….

OSH33N is alive!!!

Dahtone Racing March 19, 2009

After a good 12 months off the road the OSH33N skyline finally sparked into life this afternoon, Once we primed all the fluids it fired and started first go which made owner Osheen jump for joy

Its been a long journey with plenty of hurdles to over come but as far as Osheen was concerned is was all worth it.

Pure Awesomeness

Dahtone Racing February 28, 2009

Normally I only update this blog with what’s going on at Dahtone Racing, but after reading another blog I thought I had to share this with everyone.

I subscribe to many RSS feeds to keep updates on what’s going on overseas as far as modifying cars goes and one of which is The Real JDM.

What I got so excited about is this “1000hp GT-R turbo kit”.

US company South Side Performance have released a 1000hp turbo kit for the new GT-R. Available through GT-RR.com

Now obviously there are supporting mods needed to be able to use this turbo setup but the fact that there is some serious development happening with the new GT-R is what gets a smile on my face.

Also seen on The Real JDM is this photo of a VR38DETT stripped down and set out on the floor of the Garage Saurus workshop, who are my favorite Japanese Tuning house. I cant wait to see the results from a fully built VR38DETT by them. If their R32 GT-Rs are anything to go by, they wont disappoint.

Success

Dahtone Racing February 5, 2009

Well after all the planning, renovations and preparations our grand opening went off with a MASSIVE bang.

120 odd cars and over 200 people came down to celebrate with us, I’d like to thank every one who came and I hope you all had a great day.

Here are some photos from the day and also some links to more photos of the day.

All Barred Up.

Dahtone Racing December 31, 2008

One last update before the end of 2008.

After a long and agonising wait for a massive load of Cusco parts (sourced by RaceBorn) customer and friend Felix Alim came to us to fit all his “blue bits”.

With the rear end stripped bare and freshly painted to match the body of the car, we got to work installing the list parts including a Cusco chromoly 5 point roll cage, Cusco rear sway bar, Cusco adjustable rear camber arms, Cusco lower arm bar, Cusco carbon fibre front and rear strut braces, Cusco brake master cylinder stopper and Cusco catch can.

A big thanks to felix for being so patient and for the awesome photos.

Some Nice Progress

Dahtone Racing December 20, 2008

Its been a while since updates but things have been a bit hectic with the end of the year looming and our new workshop getting closer to being complete and ready for its opening in January.

The OSH33N skyline has had all the fabrication work completed.

Custom rocker covers with relocated breathers and custom baffles

Custom air intake system with an enclosed air box to keep things legal

Custom fuel rail and Intercooler piping

Now the new parts just need to be polished and then the car wired up. Ready from some Christmas and new year cruising.

Our MY99 WRX has also had some upgrades with a new set of 18″ wheels. The matte black with red lip “Time Attack” style rims suit the car to a Tee, tying the whole red, white and black theme together nicely.
